Hope Cancer Resources

Hope Cancer Resources is a non-profit that provides free support, counseling, transportation, wellness, and practical assistance for people in Northwest Arkansas facing cancer.

The Challenge

Hope Cancer Resources was doing deeply meaningful work, but their brand and website no longer reflected the level of care, credibility, and support they provide every day. We spent time understanding both the emotional weight of their mission and the practical needs of the people they serve, from patients and families to donors and community partners. The result was a refreshed identity and digital presence designed to feel more hopeful, modern, and clear while making it easier for the organization to tell its story, support its audience, and grow its impact.

The Process

As we worked through the logo and website, we explored a range of directions to find the right balance between compassion, professionalism, and optimism. One thing became clear early on: Hope Cancer Resources is not just an organization that provides services, it is a steady source of encouragement, support, and dignity for people walking through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

That understanding shaped the work. The identity needed to feel more modern and distinctive while still carrying warmth and trust. From there, the project evolved into a brand and website system designed to communicate hope more clearly, support fundraising and outreach efforts, and make it easier for patients, families, and donors to connect with the organization.

Developing Brand Standards

As the identity took shape, we created a brand guide that gave Hope Cancer Resources a clear and usable system for everything from fundraising materials to everyday communications. More than documenting the logo, the guide defined how the brand should look, feel, and stay consistent across touchpoints.

We established a modern visual language built around a hopeful blue palette, strong typography, simple applications, and people-first imagery, giving the organization a brand system that feels unified, approachable, and aligned with its mission.

Brand Reveal and Location Branding

The rebrand did not stop at a logo file or a website launch. It carried into the physical space and culminated in a public brand reveal event attended by more than 90 donors, supporters, and prominent Northwest Arkansas community figures. For an organization that had done so much important work, this visibility felt like a breath of fresh air. The brand was finally being presented with the clarity, confidence, and presence its mission called for.

The Hope team ran with the brand and extended the identity into the office environment through large-scale branded graphics, signage, and experiential applications that made the space feel unmistakably welcoming.

Rebuilding the Website

Lastly, Hope Cancer Resources needed a site that their team could actually manage. The previous website was difficult to update, expensive to maintain, and held back by technical issues and weak SEO.

We rebuilt the site in WordPress with a flexible, easy-to-update framework that gave staff control over pages, content, imagery, and marketing assets without constant developer support. We also improved event management with more granular calendar controls and tighter Eventbrite integration.

The finished site feels modern, clear, and human, pairing strong photography and clean layouts with a more approachable digital experience. After launch, active users increased by about 81% and new users increased by about 84%, along with a major lift in communication signups and overall attention on the brand.
