The Ride Series MTB is a mountain bike training clinic with a sterling reputation within the discipline. Since 2015, TRS had grown steadily with a burgeoning YouTube following of key talent. Now, it was time to make a jump to a custom-branded website.

Through Concord Adams, I was tasked with designing and building a custom website for the brand that could provide a more custom booking funnel, lift the brand, and continue to support the growth of TRS following.

Having already spent years growing their business on a Squarespace site, The Ride Series was ready for a more custom experience. Through this process, we found ourselves uncovering a new brand style with a lot of applications elsewhere. At the core of TRS visual language was: fast-paced badassery, the grit and texture of the trail, and the kind of authoritative voice that the mountain biking community has always needed.

Brand Guide

We identified early on in the web design project the exact kind of “sporty” typefaces we’d want to use for the brand. From there it was about finding the precise fonts needed for each type of creative. Ultimately, the logo claimed a simplified italic sport font, and the headings used something a big more rough and fun. all supported by the consistency of Karla font for paragraphs. From there, the color, photography and texture just fell into place.
