The Challenge

I spent a lot of time listening to the stories behind this brand. As a new clinic opening up, the client had a lot of passion for the work and I wanted that to come through in the brand. We finished the project with a mark that is as unique as the client’s approach to the art of prosthetics.

The Process

Throughout the process for logo design, we tried a few ideas that didn’t quite click. However, one key element presented itself at just the right time: There’s a specialty persona that Gates caters to in particular. These patients are:

Outgoing, strong, and “Totally Badass” people.

This new positioning gave way to an interesting kind of mark that combines a kind of “Rock on” vibe with a “G” for Gates.
